Celebrate the season by exploring the beautiful Sammamish Valley during the annual Sammamish Valley Alliance (SVA) Fall Harvest Celebration, Saturday, September 17th. Stop by the local farm stands, markets and stores that showcase local agriculture in the Valley. Home base for this free SVA event will be at 21 Acres, located at 13701 NE 171st Street in Woodinville; and as host for the event, they are happy to welcome back SVA President Tom Quigley on the outdoor patio with his 100 year-old apple press. Come lend a hand at several pressings throughout the day, enjoy fresh tastes, and visit with some new vendors and fan favorites on the patio from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
If you’re interested in a volunteer opportunity, you can get your hands dirty and plant for pollinators during the special “Plantapalooza” this day also at 21 Acres from 10 a.m. to 12: 30 p.m. Registration is required as space is limited.

We encourage you to purchase local, fresh, pesticide-free food that’s grown right in our own neighborhoods while enjoying the beauty of the Valley as you wander around. Whether you grab some veggies at the farm market, get a jar of honey or jam at your favorite farm store or pick up a gorgeous bouquet from a street side farm stand, your local purchase will impact the economic vitality of the entire Sammamish Valley.
All ages are welcome and activities are free. And, as we strive to ensure a long-term growing season, bringing peace, health and happiness to our friends and neighbors, plan to support the Valley’s agricultural community throughout the fall and winter.

SVA has been working in the Valley for many years with a dedicated group of farmers and business owners to enrich the public’s knowledge regarding local, sustainable, small-farm agriculture. Sammamish Valley Celebrations, presented by SVA with support from the King County Alan Painter Grant Program and Olympic Nursery, Inc., is a series of seasonal events held in spring, summer and fall, created to share the natural beauty and assets of the valley with our community and visitors alike.

Farm Fresh Organic Fruit and Produce. The Farm features approximately sixteen certified organic acres with crops being grown on seven. The Farm Stand in Woodinville is no open 5 days a week: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in addition to its weekend hours. Look for the five-day a week schedule to remain through Thanksgiving. Viva Farms-King County Student Farm & Farm Business Incubator

In partnership with SAgE Collaborative (Sustainable Agriculture Education), our King county location is in the Sammamish Valley on the urban fringe of the greater Seattle metropolitan area. Like our original Skagit Valley farm business incubator, the Woodinville site offers land, equipment, infrastructure and training for beginning farmers to launch independent farm businesses. The urban incubator is comprised of smaller-scale and more intensive farming operations that reflect the location of the site and proximity to a larger urban center.

Festival Street, Downtown Woodinville
Eat Local–Eat Fresh–Eat Well. The market operates each Saturday from 10am to 3pm through September. Offering fresh fruit, vegetables, flowers, handmade arts & crafts, along with entertaining musical acts, fun kids’ activities, and engaging community programs! Featured on Sat., Sept. 17th: 10 a.m.-3 p.m., POP: Nutrition in Colors and Nature Vision; then 12:30-2:30 p.m. Music by Russell Hendrix.
