SVA Seed Swap 2024

Info here on the three annual SVA events in 2024

 Sammamish Valley Seed Swap

Thank you to all who participated in our 2024 Eighth Annual Sammamish Valley  Seed Swap. Below is information on the past event. Remember to join us next spring as we celebrate our ninth year!

Tuesday, March 5, through Saturday, March 30, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.  Come to the alcove outside the 21 Acres Farm Market in Woodinville, WA between 10 and 4 each day to take seeds or leave seeds at this self-serve seed swap.

This event is free for all gardeners, small-scale farmers and anyone interested in seeds, even if you don’t have spare seeds to offer – there will be plenty to share.

Bring Your Seeds to Share: Bring your saved seeds either in their original commercial packaging or your own well-marked container (no taller than 4-7/8”). Include the plant name, year collected, and planting and growing information. Seeds should be cleaned of hulls and debris, non-GMO, non-hybrid, and not older than 3 years. Sort your donated seeds into the labeled boxes by plant category and species.

Swap for Seeds You Need: Plan to take only the seeds that you intend to plant. Bring recycled envelopes or little jars, pill bottles baggies along with a pen and marker and tape to label your seeds with name and any information on the original container.

Plant Your Spring Garden: Have fun with family, friends, and neighbors as you sow and tend to your spring garden. Come back often over the month to see what’s new in the offerings. Take photos and share!

Remaining seeds after the event will be donated to local, community gardeners. Happy growing! 21 Acres is located at 13701 NE 171st St., Woodinville, WA. For more information e-mail bvanderloop.sva@gmail.com and put Seed Swap in the subject line.
